City of Colfax recently issued the following announcement.
The Food Bank of Nevada County is offering Drive-Thru Distribution of food on Thursdays between 10am-1pm at Grass Valley Seventh Day Adventist Church (12889 Osborn Hill Rd, Grass Valley, CA.) If you are unable to come during the distribution time, we may be able to help. Please sign up here if you need assistance (link below). Monthly Food Distribution
There are five distributions throughout Nevada County each month. Items distributed include: meat, whole grain pasta and bread, dried beans and rice, canned goods, eggs, juice and dairy -USDA Commodities make up 40% of those grocery items the rest is donated to us from our community. Anyone who needs food may visit the following distributions…no one will be turned away. Colfax: Sierra Vista Center – 55 School Street, Colfax; 1st Friday 10am-11:30am Penn Valley: 7th Day Adventist Church – 12889 Osborne Hill Rd, Grass Valley; 2nd Thursday 10am -12pm North San Juan: North San Juan Center – 29190 Hwy 49, North San Juan; 3rd Thursday 10am-12pm Grass Valley: 7th Day Adventist Church – 12889 Osborne Hill Rd, Grass Valley; 4th Thursday 10am-12pm Washington: 31625 Relief Hill Rd Nevada City; 1st Wednesday 10am -12pm
