On Friday, Feb. 28, former Woodcreek High School standout Austin Nye’s current college team, the Vanderbilt Commodores, won 8-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the UCLA Bruins.

The game took place at Jackie Robinson Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Bruins this season.

The Commodores’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 2 p.m. at Dedeaux Field against USC Trojans.
