On Tuesday, April 1, three former Granite Bay High School standouts, including Brett Ott, JP Smith and Peter Caldera’s current college team, the Sacramento State Hornets, lost 6-5 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the California Golden Bears.

The game took place at John Smith Field. This was their first matchup against the Golden Bears this season.

The Hornets’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 8 at 6 p.m. at Phil Swimley Field at Dobbins Stadium against UC Davis Aggies.
