Former Rocklin High School standout Jayla Castro played on Friday, May 23 in hopes of reaching the NCAA Division I Softball Championship

On Friday, May 23, former Rocklin High School standout Jayla Castro’s current collegiate team the UCLA Bruins lost 2-9 against the South Carolina Gamecocks in the NCAA Division I Softball Championship.

The game took place at Carolina Softball Stadium at 1:05 p.m. and was the first matchup against the South Carolina Gamecocks in the tournament.

The UCLA Bruins’ next game will take place on Saturday, May 24 at 1:05 p.m. at Carolina Softball Stadium.
