Kevin Kiley, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 3rd District, voiced his criticism on a range of issues through recent social media posts. Representing his district since 2023, Kiley’s political experience also includes service in the California State Assembly from 2016 to 2022. Born in Sacramento and an alumnus of Harvard and Yale, Kiley is known for openly expressing his political stance on various platforms.

On April 16, 2025, Kiley criticized the rebuilding efforts in Los Angeles following recent fires. According to his post, out of approximately 7,000 homes that were damaged, “LA has issued exactly 4 permits to rebuild.” Kiley attributed this to what he described as the “city and state’s catastrophic incompetence.”

Later the same day, Kiley addressed criticisms he received from notable political figures. He noted that “Bernie and AOC repeatedly attacked me during their deranged speeches last night,” after they had declined his previous offer to debate. He suggested that their political rhetoric might be more suited to scripted environments rather than direct debates.

In another discussion on April 16, Kiley responded to political moves by a fellow governor. Governor Newsom’s recent legal challenge against the Trump Administration prompted Kiley to comment on Newsom’s selective stance on governance. Kiley remarked, “Newsom’s latest stunt is suing the Trump Administration over the ‘separation of powers'” while highlighting what he described as Newsom’s previous autocratic actions during the COVID State of Emergency.

Kevin Kiley has been actively involved in California’s political landscape, serving since 2023 in Congress and previously in the state assembly. He is a graduate of Harvard University and Yale University, with a residence in Rocklin, CA, and is a vocal participant in political discourse.
