Kevin Kiley, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 3rd district, addressed his followers on social media in a series of posts from November 5 and 6, 2025. In these tweets, he commented on recent political challenges, ongoing efforts against gerrymandering in California, and his legislative priorities.
On November 5, Kiley offered reassurance to his supporters with the message: “Keep the faith, my friends. We’ll be ok.” Later that day, he referenced past political opposition from California Governor Gavin Newsom, stating: “Governor Newsom has targeted me many times before. His last attempt failed by 46,000 votes. Our movement to restore sanity in California isn’t going anywhere.”
The following day, Kiley addressed the topic of redistricting and Proposition 50 in California. He wrote: “Prop. 50 has unfortunately brought gerrymandering back to California. But a silver lining is it also calls on Congress to establish independent redistricting nationwide. I’m working on legislation to make this a reality and end gerrymandering for good.”
Kiley has served as the U.S. Representative for California’s 3rd District since 2023 after replacing John Garamendi. Before his current role in Congress, he was a member of the California State Assembly from 2016 to 2022. Born in Sacramento in 1985 and now residing in Rocklin, Kiley graduated from Harvard University with a bachelor’s degree and later earned a law degree from Yale University.
