Kevin Kiley, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 3rd district since 2023, has shared his perspectives on various issues through social media. His tweets address concerns about government efficiency, legislative decisions, and regulatory practices in California.
On May 6, 2025, Kiley commented on the high cost of gasoline and infrastructure quality in the United States. He stated: “When you pay $8/gallon for gas while driving on some of America’s worst roads, your government is broken.”
Later that day, Kiley addressed a legislative issue concerning criminal penalties for sexual exploitation. He remarked: “The California Supermajority has backtracked and is reinstating legislation it killed that makes sexually exploiting 16-year-olds a felony. It’s truly incredible that it took days of public outrage for basic human decency to prevail.”
On May 7, 2025, Kiley discussed regulatory practices in California and expressed relief over recent changes. He tweeted: “For years Californians have woken up every day wondering what the government will ban next. Cars, trucks, buses, trains, lawn mowers, leaf blowers, straws. Those days are over. We are Newsom-Proofing California.”
Kevin Kiley was born in Sacramento in 1985 and currently resides in Rocklin. He graduated from Harvard University with a BA in 2007 and earned his JD from Yale University.
