Kevin Kiley, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 3rd district, has recently posted several statements on his social media account regarding legislative initiatives and criticisms of state policies.
On September 17, 2025, Kiley announced new legislation aimed at preventing federal funds from supporting violent activities. He wrote, “I’ve introduced the No Tax Dollars for Riots Act to assure public funding is not used to advance violent criminal activity. Congress needs to act quickly to get it passed.”
The following day, Kiley criticized California Governor Gavin Newsom’s attempts to regulate speech and religious gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic. In his post dated September 18, 2025, he stated: “Newsom tried to ban COVID ‘misinformation,’ tried to ban parodies of Kamala Harris, and tried to ban private Bible studies in your home. The courts stopped him each time.”
Later that same day, Kiley commented on California’s high-speed rail project between Los Angeles and San Francisco, referencing delays in its completion. He posted: “By all means, take me for a trip on the LA to SF train that was promised by 2020. Happy to be proven wrong.”
Kevin Kiley has represented California’s 3rd District in Congress since 2023 after serving in the California State Assembly from 2016 through 2022. Born in Sacramento in 1985 and currently residing in Rocklin, Kiley holds degrees from Harvard University and Yale Law School.
