Kevin Kiley, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 3rd district since 2023, has recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing issues ranging from state politics to fuel prices and international regulatory actions.
On December 4, 2025, Kiley commented on his ongoing political rivalry with California Governor Gavin Newsom, stating, “It’s an honor to be ‘targeted’ by Gavin Newsom. We’ve defeated Newsom so many times – overturning his gas car ban, passing Prop. 36 overwhelmingly, cutting off his high-speed rail funds – that he resorted to butchering my district. That won’t stop us from beating him again.”
The following day, December 5, Kiley addressed the cost of gasoline in California compared to the national average: “To state the painfully obvious: If Californians paid what the average American does, each gallon would be $1.60 cheaper.”
Later on December 5, Kiley criticized European regulators for imposing fines on American technology companies: “The arbitrary fines by European regulators against American tech platforms are an attack on free speech for all Americans. This cannot be allowed to continue.”
Kiley has served in Congress since replacing John Garamendi in 2023 and previously held office in the California State Assembly from 2016 to 2022. Born in Sacramento in 1985 and currently residing in Rocklin, Kiley holds degrees from Harvard University and Yale Law School.
