Kevin Kiley, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 3rd district, has recently addressed several issues on his official Twitter account, ranging from honoring military heroes to tackling fraud in education and commenting on energy policy.
On April 12, 2026, Kiley announced the renaming of a VA clinic: “Through an Act of Congress signed by the President, we’ve officially renamed what is now the Louis A. Conter VA Clinic. Lou was the last living survivor of Pearl Harbor aboard the USS Arizona and saved many of his shipmates on that fateful day. He is truly an American hero.”
Two days later, on April 14, he highlighted concerns about fraudulent activity in California’s community college system: “One-third of community college applications in California were fake: 1.2 million in 2024 alone. Fraudsters pocket up to $7,400 in aid for ‘living expenses’ each time. We passed the No Aid for Ghost Students Act to stop this rampant fraud.”
Later that same day, Kiley criticized state leadership over energy sourcing and environmental impact: “Gas in California is not only more expensive than in every other state, but also worse for the environment. It’s brought in on giant tankers from places like the Bahamas. There’s one reason for this perverse outcome: failed political leadership.”
Kiley has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after previously serving in the California State Assembly from 2016 to 2022. He was born in Sacramento in 1985 and currently resides in Rocklin. Kiley holds a BA from Harvard University and a JD from Yale University.
