Kevin Kiley, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 3rd district and former California State Assembly member, announced on September 9, 2025, that parents in Sacramento successfully opposed legislation aimed at restricting homeschool charters.
In a post dated September 9, 2025, Kiley stated: “Some good news out of Sacramento. Parents have fought back and won against the corrupt Supermajority, killing AB 84’s attempt to shut down homeschool charters. This is a huge victory for school choice and parental rights in California.”

You can see where FireAid says all the money went – including the organizations that received grants, the amounts received, and the number of victims reached.
