Kevin Kiley, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 3rd district, posted a series of statements on his social media account between September 10 and 11, 2025. The posts addressed both legislative priorities and reactions to a recent tragedy.

On September 10, Kiley highlighted public support for his proposed legislation regarding redistricting: “A poll from Noble Insights shows Americans support my bill to stop Mid-Decade Redistricting by a 3-to-1 margin. This includes an overwhelming majority of both Republicans and Democrats. House leadership can put the bill in this month’s ‘CR’ and bring this insanity to an end.” He called on House leadership to include the measure in the continuing resolution (CR) for the month.

Later that day, Kiley responded to news about an individual named Charlie: “I am shocked and beyond sickened. Praying for Charlie and his family.”

On September 11, he commented further on the situation involving Charlie: “At this moment, the nation is in shock over the barbaric murder of a man beloved by millions. The depth of this tragedy is hard to process: a life cut short at age 31, a wife left without a husband, two young children without a father. The tributes that have poured in these”

Kevin Kiley has served as California’s representative for the 3rd Congressional District since replacing John Garamendi in 2023. Prior to his current role in Congress, he was a member of the California State Assembly from 2016 until 2022. Born in Sacramento in 1985 and currently residing in Rocklin, Kiley holds degrees from Harvard University (BA) and Yale University (JD).
