Kevin Kiley, a U.S. Congress member representing California’s 3rd district since 2023, has been vocal about various state issues through his social media presence. Previously serving in the California State Assembly from 2016 to 2022, Kiley has utilized platforms like Twitter to express his views on taxation, infrastructure projects, and education legislation.
On June 5, 2025, Kiley commented on California’s tax situation and infrastructure conditions by stating “California is Exhibit A: highest taxes, deepest potholes.”
The following day, on June 6, he addressed the state’s high-speed rail project. He criticized the High-Speed Rail Authority for claiming progress despite not having laid any track over a span of 17 years. He remarked that “The initial projection was 100 million riders a year by 2030. We now know the true number will be 0.”
Later that day, Kiley expressed strong disapproval of recent legislation targeting homeschool-based charter schools. He highlighted that “This bill by Newsom’s corrupt enablers is as despicable as it gets,” noting its potential negative impact on students with special needs and pointing out that many Democrats abstained from voting on it.
Kevin Kiley was born in Sacramento in 1985 and resides in Rocklin. He graduated from Harvard University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and later earned his Juris Doctor from Yale University.
