Kevin Kiley, currently a U.S. Representative for California’s 3rd district, has taken to social media to express his concerns about recent legislative and administrative actions within California. Having served in the California State Assembly and now in Congress, Kiley uses his platform to criticize decisions made by the state’s legislative supermajority and raise questions about state governance.

On April 28, Kiley voiced strong disapproval regarding a legislative decision, stating, “This is an absolute disgrace. California’s out-of-control Supermajority has decided that purchasing 16-year-old kids to sexually abuse them shouldn’t be a felony.”

The following day, April 29, he directed his criticism towards Governor Gavin Newsom, questioning his silence on the matter. Kiley tweeted, “Gov. Newsom is standing by and watching as our Legislature enables child predators. The Supermajority just killed a measure making it a felony to purchase 16-year-olds for sex.” He further commented on Gov. Newsom’s focus on national politics over state issues, asking, “Newsom has plenty to say about Trump and other states. What should we infer from his silence here?”

In a separate concern raised on April 30, Kiley pointed to potential privacy violations involving California’s health exchange website. He shared, “This is incredibly disturbing. California’s Obamacare website tracked users’ personal health information – such as pregnancy and prescription drug use – and sent it to LinkedIn for a ‘marketing campaign.'” Kiley has taken steps to investigate this matter further, stating “We are asking Secretary Kennedy to investigate for HIPAA violations.”

Kevin Kiley, born in Sacramento, graduated from Harvard University with a BA in 2007 and earned his JD from Yale University. He resides in Rocklin and continues to represent his district while voicing concerns on critical issues within California’s legislative and administrative sectors.
