Kevin Kiley, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 3rd district, posted a series of tweets on August 26, 2025, criticizing Governor Gavin Newsom and various California political initiatives.

In one post from the afternoon of August 26, Kiley referenced the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA), stating: “Remember CHIRLA, the group that organized the LA riots? They are now leading the ‘grassroots organizing’ for Newsom’s Redistricting Sham. Newsom previously gave CHIRLA $34 million in public funds. Congress must pass my No Tax Dollars for Riots Act.” In another tweet later that day, he commented on the state’s transportation project: “My goal this year was to end the High-Speed Rail debacle once and for all. We’re getting there.” Later in the evening, Kiley continued his criticism of Governor Newsom by writing: “Newsom’s entire campaign strategy is to commit fraud. Literally, that’s the whole plan.”

Kevin Kiley has represented California’s 3rd District in Congress since 2023 after succeeding John Garamendi. Before his congressional service, he served in the California State Assembly from 2016 to 2022. Born in Sacramento in 1985 and currently residing in Rocklin, Kiley holds degrees from Harvard University and Yale Law School.
