Kevin Kiley, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 3rd district, has recently made several statements on social media regarding California politics and federal architectural policy.

On August 29, 2025, Kiley posted, “This is a fight to save democracy in California and to end Gavin Newsom’s pathetic political career. It’s a fight we can win.” Later that day, he announced legislative intentions related to federal architecture: “I will be sponsoring legislation in the House to build on this Executive Order and return our federal buildings to classical/traditional architecture that reflects the spirit of democracy and self-government.”

The following day, Kiley criticized Governor Newsom’s approach to redistricting: “Our full electorate voted for independent redistricting 3 times. Now Newsom is trying to trick a partial electorate to undo that in a sudden off-year ‘Special Election’ with reduced vote centers, limited notifications, and a digital-only voter guide. It’s a farce of democracy.”

Kiley has served in Congress since 2023 after previously serving in the California State Assembly from 2016 to 2022. He was born in Sacramento in 1985 and currently resides in Rocklin. Kiley holds degrees from Harvard University (BA) and Yale University (JD).
