Rep. Kevin Kiley, a U.S. Congress member representing California’s 3rd district since 2023, recently shared his views on several pressing issues through social media. Born in Sacramento in 1985 and a Harvard alumnus, Kiley continues to engage with constituents and the public on topics ranging from education to infrastructure.
On June 6, 2025, Kiley addressed the challenges faced by Jewish students at universities like Harvard. He stated that “The horrors endured by Jewish students at universities like Harvard have not been fully appreciated.” According to Kiley, these students have experienced harassment and violence, had their movements tracked by pro-Hamas individuals, and witnessed university administrators catering to their aggressors.
Later that day, Kiley criticized San Francisco’s educational policy changes. He remarked on the city’s approach to handling failing schools: “San Francisco came up with a brilliant solution for its failing schools. Students simply won’t be failed.” The “Grading for Equity” plan includes measures such as converting Fs into Cs and Bs into As while removing grades from homework and tests.
In another post on June 6, 2025, Kiley commented on the federal administration’s decision regarding the High-Speed Rail project. He noted that “The Administration has announced an intention to cancel further federal funding for the High-Speed Rail project.” Calling this move appropriate, he indicated plans to elaborate on his position during an appearance with David J. Harris Jr. on Newsmax.
Kevin Kiley has served in various capacities over his career, having previously been part of the California State Assembly from 2016 to 2022 before moving onto Congress where he succeeded John Garamendi.
