Kevin Kiley, a U.S. Congress member representing California’s 3rd district since 2023, has recently expressed his views on education, homelessness, and space exploration through a series of tweets. Kiley, who previously served in the California State Assembly from 2016 to 2022, shared his concerns about the current state of these issues in America.

On March 8, 2025, Kiley tweeted about the challenges facing American education. He stated: “The undeniable fact about education in America today is we are spending more and more and our students are learning less and less.” As Chair of the K-12 Education Subcommittee, he emphasized his collaboration with the Trump Administration to enhance local control, school choice, and parental rights.

In another tweet dated March 9, 2025, Kiley addressed California’s homelessness crisis. He noted: “New data shows Newsom spent $37 billion on homelessness as the homeless population exploded.” He criticized Governor Gavin Newsom for losing track of funds according to a State Auditor report and for vetoing a bill aimed at increasing accountability in spending. Kiley highlighted that California now accounts for half of the nation’s unsheltered homeless population.

Later on March 9th, Kevin Kiley commented on SpaceX’s role in America’s progress by stating: “Rooting against SpaceX is rooting against America.” This brief statement underscores his support for the aerospace company’s contributions to national interests.
