Rep. Kevin Kiley, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 3rd district since 2023, has recently made several statements on social media regarding California’s unemployment rate, high-speed rail project, and water infrastructure funding.
On September 16, 2025, Kiley commented on the state’s employment figures: “Exactly one state out of fifty had its unemployment rate increase in the latest report: California. And we already ‘led’ the nation. This is why Newsom is desperate for the distraction of his Redistricting Sham.”
The following day, September 17, he addressed concerns about public spending and oversight: “Today I asked FBI Director Kash Patel to investigate California High-Speed Rail. He said the FBI can investigate for any waste, fraud or abuse. So far, $16 billion has been spent and nothing has been built.”
On September 18, Kiley announced a development in state infrastructure: “Great news. We have secured $1 billion for new water storage in California.”
Kevin Kiley was born in Sacramento in 1985 and currently resides in Rocklin. Before his election to Congress, he served in the California State Assembly from 2016 to 2022. Kiley holds a BA from Harvard University and a JD from Yale University.
