Kevin Kiley, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 3rd district, has recently posted several updates on his social media account addressing ongoing legislative and political issues.

On October 10, 2025, Kiley commented on the state of House proceedings, writing: “Although Speaker Johnson has cancelled session yet again, I’ll be returning to DC. My door is open to anyone interested in making sure our troops get paid or working on everything else the House is neglecting. I’m also declining a paycheck until the shutdown is over.”

Later that day, he addressed voter identification measures in California, stating: “Californians of all parties overwhelmingly support Voter ID. You can join Sheriff John McGinness today to sign the petition to get it on the ballot.”

In another post regarding state politics and redistricting, Kiley urged voters to reject Proposition 50: “The vote on Prop. 50 is very simple: Yes = Gerrymander No = Don’t Gerrymander Please vote NO, return your ballot, and give Newsom the humiliating defeat he richly deserves.”

Kiley began serving in Congress in 2023 after replacing John Garamendi as representative for California’s 3rd district. He previously served in the California State Assembly from 2016 to 2022. Born in Sacramento in 1985 and currently residing in Rocklin, Kiley holds a BA from Harvard University and a JD from Yale University.
