Kevin Kiley, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 3rd district since 2023, announced several legislative initiatives and actions on his social media account in December 2025.

On December 8, Kiley shared news about the passage of his bill in the House of Representatives, stating: “Some good news. The House passed my bill to keep CCP propaganda out of our classrooms. It even received bipartisan support.”

The following day, December 9, Kiley addressed efforts to restrict congressional stock trading by announcing his participation in a discharge petition. He wrote: “Today I’m signing a discharge petition to force a vote on a bill to ban stock trading by Members of Congress. Discharge petitions are a way to pass bills without Leadership’s blessing. I believe this has become necessary for the House to reassert itself after months of inaction.”

Later that same day, Kiley highlighted concerns regarding youth sports participation rates and upcoming congressional oversight activities: “Next week I’m chairing a hearing on the concerning decline of youth sports in America. Participation has fallen as barriers have grown and screen time has skyrocketed. And it didn’t help that the likes of Gavin Newsom banned youth sports during the COVID years.”

Kiley, who was born in Sacramento in 1985 and resides in Rocklin, previously served in the California State Assembly from 2016 to 2022 before joining Congress. He holds degrees from Harvard University (BA) and Yale University (JD).
