Kevin Kiley, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 3rd district, has recently posted a series of statements on his social media account raising concerns over government spending and public safety policies.

On October 8, 2025, Kiley stated: “Our investigation of FireAid continues. We’re now asking for documents as to how $500,000 given to a fund run by the Governor’s Office was used.” The post refers to an ongoing inquiry into the allocation of funds by California state authorities.

The following day, October 9, 2025, Kiley addressed California’s healthcare policy: “California did indeed give comprehensive Medicaid benefits to all illegal immigrants, free of charge, making it harder for our own citizens to get an appointment. The cost tripled to $10 billion in just the first year, literally driving the system insolvent.”

Later on October 9, Kiley commented on crime rates and federal intervention in urban areas: “Fewer residents are getting murdered, assaulted, and robbed with the National Guard in DC. You’d think the Mayor of Chicago and other high-crime cities would want the same thing. But no. They insist on letting violent crime continue rather than welcoming federal help.”

Kiley has served in Congress since 2023, after previously holding a seat in the California State Assembly from 2016 to 2022. He succeeded John Garamendi as representative of California’s 3rd district. Born in Sacramento in 1985, Kiley is currently a resident of Rocklin and holds degrees from Harvard University and Yale Law School.
