Rep. Kevin Kiley, who represents California’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, has posted a series of statements on social media addressing transportation infrastructure, road safety technology, and political activism in California.

On August 23, 2025, Kiley criticized the state’s high-speed rail plans: “The California High-Speed Rail Authority just announced ‘ambitious’ plans to complete a line from Palmdale to Gilroy by 2039. But even this is based on fantasy: it relies on federal funding that we just successfully cut off.”

Two days later, on August 25, he commented on advances in road safety technology: “I fully agree. We now basically have the technology to end the carnage on our roads. It is a moral imperative to clear obstacles to its widespread adoption as quickly as possible.”

On August 26, Kiley raised concerns about public funding for advocacy groups involved in state politics: “The group that organized the LA riots, known as CHIRLA, is now leading the ‘grassroots organizing’ for Newsom’s Redistricting Sham. CHIRLA previously received $34 million in public funds. Congress must pass my No Tax Dollars for Riots Act.”

Kevin Kiley has represented California’s 3rd District since 2023 after serving in the California State Assembly from 2016 to 2022. Born in Sacramento in 1985 and currently residing in Rocklin, Kiley holds degrees from Harvard University and Yale Law School.
