Kevin Kiley, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 3rd district since 2023, has recently posted several statements on social media addressing California politics and Governor Gavin Newsom.

On October 5, 2025, Kiley urged voters to oppose a ballot measure and take action against the current governor, stating: “Defeat Newsom. Save California. No on 50.” In a subsequent post later that day, he emphasized the clarity of his position with the message: “It’s a really simple vote.”

Continuing his criticism of state leadership on October 6, 2025, Kiley wrote: “There’s only one Governor in modern U.S. history who has actually threatened to declare martial law.”

Kiley succeeded John Garamendi as representative for California’s 3rd district in Congress and previously served in the California State Assembly from 2016 to 2022. He was born in Sacramento in 1985 and currently resides in Rocklin. Kiley is an alumnus of Harvard University and holds a JD from Yale University.
