Kevin Kiley, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 3rd district, has reiterated his commitment to independent representation and highlighted ongoing legislative concerns in a series of posts on social media between November 2 and November 3, 2025.

On November 2, Kiley stated, “I ran for Congress promising to be an independent voice for my district and to fight for all Californians. We discussed this and much more on The Daily podcast from the New York Times.”

The following day, he urged constituents to participate in an upcoming vote regarding Proposition 50, writing on November 3: “There is still time to vote NO on 50. Polls close at 8 PM tomorrow. Vote NO because voters, not politicians, should choose the destiny of our state. Vote NO because each and every citizen deserves fair representation. Vote NO because California is worth fighting for.”

Later that evening, Kiley addressed delays in Congressional action affecting federal employees: “Air traffic controllers are about to miss a second paycheck. Yet the House of Representatives remains in recess for the sixth straight week. This is unacceptable. Even if the Senate passes our 7-week funding bill, those weeks are almost up now.”

Kiley has represented California’s 3rd District since 2023 after succeeding John Garamendi. He previously served in the California State Assembly from 2016 to 2022 and was born in Sacramento in 1985. Currently residing in Rocklin at age 38, Kiley holds degrees from Harvard University (BA) and Yale University (JD).
