Kevin Kiley, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 3rd district since 2023, has expressed his opinions on several current issues through social media posts. Known for his previous tenure in the California State Assembly from 2016 to 2022, Kiley continues to voice his perspectives on policies and governance.
On June 21, 2025, Kevin Kiley criticized certain politicians for their stance on mask mandates. He stated that “The same politicians who forced 2-year-olds to wear masks all day and detained maskless beachgoers now want to stop ICE agents from covering their faces to protect themselves and their families from violent lunatics. It’s completely absurd.” This tweet reflects Kiley’s disapproval of perceived inconsistencies in mask-related policies.
The following day, June 22, 2025, Kiley addressed the issue of infrastructure and fuel costs by tweeting that “When you pay $8 per gallon while driving on pothole-ridden roads, your government is broken.” His statement suggests dissatisfaction with the state of road maintenance and high fuel prices.
Later that same day, he commented on Governor Newsom’s legal actions involving the National Guard. He described it as “Newsom’s frivolous lawsuit to remove the National Guard resulted in a humiliating defeat in court. The Governor put our citizens and federal officers at risk for a moment of political grandstanding.” Through this post, Kiley criticized the Governor’s actions as politically motivated and risky.
Kevin Kiley was born in Sacramento in 1985 and resides in Rocklin. He holds a BA from Harvard University (2007) and a JD from Yale University.
