Placer County is seeking applicants for an open at-large position on the Tahoe Basin Design Review Committee, a seven-member volunteer panel. The committee is responsible for reviewing proposed projects in the Lake Tahoe Basin to ensure compliance with county ordinances and adopted design standards.

The current vacancy will be nominated by District 5 Supervisor Cindy Gustafson and must be approved by the Board of Supervisors. Members of design review committees act as representatives for their communities and provide recommendations to the Planning Services Division and project applicants.

Applicants must reside, own property or a business, or manage and operate a business within the Lake Tahoe Basin. Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month.

Interested residents should submit a completed application to the Clerk of the Board at 175 Fulweiler Avenue in Auburn. Additional information about the committee is available on Placer County’s website at https://www.placer.ca.gov/2415/Tahoe-Basin-Design-Review-Committee-DRC, and meeting agendas and minutes can be found at https://www.placer.ca.gov/3636/Tahoe-Basin-Design-Review-Committee.
