Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) is currently undergoing its 2027 General Rate Case review, a process required every four years by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). This review evaluates PG&E’s proposed costs, investments, and service levels for the coming period.

State Senator Roger Niello has expressed concern about ongoing rate increases and emphasized the importance of keeping constituents informed about possible changes. “The continuous rate increases are concerning, and I want to make sure my constituents who are PG&E customers are informed of the potential changes and the opportunities to make your voice heard,” Niello stated.

To facilitate public input, the CPUC has scheduled several forums where customers can participate. Two virtual hearings will take place on October 22 at 2 p.m. and October 23 at 6 p.m., followed by in-person sessions in Fresno on November 7 at both 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Participants can join by phone using the number 1-800-857-1917 with passcode 1673482#, or attend via live webcast at www.adminmonitor.com/ca/cpuc.

Those joining by phone will have an opportunity to comment after following instructions provided during the call. The operator will invite speakers as their turn arrives based on queue order. Viewers watching online will have access to audio and video feeds with English or Spanish captions but cannot provide verbal comments through this platform.

Recordings of all public forums will be archived for future viewing.
