Rep. Kevin Kiley has acknowledged six students from California’s Third District who have been appointed to U.S. Service Academies. This year, Rep. Kiley submitted over 30 nominations for these prestigious institutions.

“I’m honored to celebrate these talented young men and women who will attend one of several prestigious service academies in the United States,” Rep. Kiley stated. “California’s Third Congressional District is filled with high-achieving students. My office received over 30 applications for Service Academy Nominations, and I’m very excited that so many of them were accepted into one of the competitive service academies. I wish these students the best as they continue their journey, and I look forward to seeing their future accomplishments.”

The following students have been accepted into a service academy after an extensive application process:

– Robert Gago from Grass Valley will attend the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
– Bode Farren from Penryn and Amiya Farias from Orangevale have been accepted into the U.S. Air Force Academy.
– Trinity Acuna from Folsom and Brayden Weber from Loomis will join the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
– Wilcott Burke from Folsom is set to attend the U.S. Naval Academy.

Students interested in academy appointments are advised to begin their application process in the spring of their junior year of high school, with early application being encouraged due to limited vacancies available each school year.
