Kevin Kiley, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 3rd district, has shared a series of comments on various political issues via social media. These tweets cover topics such as California's governance under Governor Newsom, a request made to the FBI, and recent political rallies.
On April 19, 2025, Kiley criticized Governor Gavin Newsom, referring to his attempt to attribute his governance failures to President Trump as "the height of absurdity." He stated, "Our state is unaffordable because of the disastrous policies Newsom has inflicted on us for years."
In a separate post on April 21, 2025, Kiley announced that the FBI has responded to his request for an investigation into California's High-Speed Rail project. He noted, "The information in my letter has been provided to the relevant FBI division for 'appropriate action.'"
Later on the same day, Kiley commented on political dynamics in the state, contrasting the attendance at rallies for Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez with new Republican voter registrations. He remarked, "Congratulations to Bernie and AOC on drawing a few thousand people to their California rallies. By comparison, one million new Republicans have registered in the state since Newsom took office." Kiley expressed optimism by noting, "A revival of common sense is upon us."
Kevin Kiley has represented California's 3rd Congressional District since 2023 after serving in the California State Assembly from 2016 to 2022. He was born in Sacramento, California, in 1985 and currently resides in Rocklin. Kiley holds a BA from Harvard University and a JD from Yale University.
